Title
What can quantum computing do for Nuclear Physics?
Speaker
Prof. José Enrique García Ramos (Universidad de Huelva)
Abstract

In this talk, I will present some recent applications of Quantum Computing (QC) to the Nuclear Physics realm. First, I will show the bases of QC focusing on some very well known algorithms. Second, I will move into nuclear structure applications for calculating ground state energies or energy spectra, showing the present limitations of QC and the possibilities of overcoming classical computer calculations in the near future.
